What fits in each size

800 square feet holds a container plus room to park a truck and a trailer and still turn around. This is the common starting point for a two or three vehicle operation.

1,200 square feet fits a container, multiple trucks, a trailer and a skid steer with room to work around them.

1,600 square feet is for outfits running several vehicles, seasonal attachments and material staged outside the box.

If you are not sure, call and describe what you park. It takes two minutes on the phone. There is also a sizing guide by trade.

How fast you can move in

Same day. Sign the month to month lease, pay first month plus deposit, get your gate code and drive in. You can apply online to start it.

Tours are by appointment, so call ahead if you want to walk the yard first.

What the yard gives you

Fenced and gated, with coded entry 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No office hours. No height restrictions, so bucket trucks and raised dump beds clear fine. Gravel ground with room to maneuver a loaded trailer.

You can do minor repairs and maintenance on your own equipment on site. No fluid changes, because there is nowhere to catch oil or coolant on gravel. Depending on the yard you can keep some brush or wood on site, so ask when you call. The full list is on the rules page.

The yards are not supervised and the lease does not make Box Yard liable for theft, so keep coverage on anything valuable.

Other Colorado yards

Two more in Wheat Ridge, one on Van Gordon and one at 5040 Tabor St. If Arvada is full, ask about those. They are close enough that most crews do not notice the difference. All three are listed on the Colorado page.
