Plumbing Contractor Storage Yards
Most storage can't take a 20-foot stick of pipe. That's the problem with using self-storage as a plumbing shop: you cut material to fit the unit, or leave it on the truck where it gets stolen.
A 40-foot container is just under 40 feet inside. Twenty-foot sticks lie flat with room at the end for fittings, valves, and a parts rack. Park the service vans beside it, load out in the morning, and lock the gate behind you.
What Plumbers Need from a Storage Yard
-
Long pipe: 20-foot sticks lie flat in a 40' container
-
Fixtures waiting on a job: tubs, toilets, water heaters, vanities
-
Service vans overnight, with crew cars swapped in each morning
-
Jetters, camera rigs, and trailers off the street
-
Copper behind a coded gate and a locked container
"The 40' container has plenty of room for the long pipe sections, even the 35' runs, along with all the valves, fittings, and tools."
- Marcus
