RV, Boat and Trailer Storage in Arvada and Wheat Ridge

Your HOA is stricter about the camper in the driveway than the city is, and the city is not loose about it either.
Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Westminster and Lakewood all limit how long a recreational vehicle or trailer can sit on a street or in front of a house. Most HOA covenants go further and say no visible RV, boat or trailer at all. Nobody enforces any of it until one neighbor decides to, and then it is a letter with a deadline on it.
So here is what the options cost and what you trade.
Open parking at an RV lot
$90 to $160 a month for a 10 by 30 or 10 by 40 spot. The cheapest thing available. You get a gravel space in a row, often no after hours access, and you park where they put you.
Covered parking
$150 to $250. A roof over it, which saves an RV roof and a boat's gel coat from sun at 5,400 feet. For a boat it is usually worth the difference.
Indoor
$250 to $500 for a 12 by 40 bay. The right answer for a classic, an Airstream you restored, or a Sprinter conversion you care about more than your car.
Fenced yard space you rent outright
$530 for 800 square feet at our yards. That is more than a single RV spot costs, and it is a different product. You are renting ground, not a slot.
When yard space wins and when it does not
One travel trailer and nothing else? Go rent an RV spot for $120. We are the wrong answer and we will tell you that on the phone.
Two or three things is where it flips. An RV, a boat and a utility trailer in three separate spots at $130 each is $390 a month, and they are in three different rows, which means something has to be moved every time you want the boat. Our 800 square foot space is $530, it is all yours, and you can get at any of it in June without asking anybody.
Four vehicles, or a dually and a toy hauler, and you want 1,200 square feet at $730 to $750. The Van Gordon yard has a 2,200 square foot space at $1,050 for people storing a whole fleet of toys.
What you get at our yards
Fenced and gated, with a code that works at 5 in the morning and on Sunday. Gravel that drains instead of dirt that goes soft in April. Drive aisles built for trucks pulling trailers, which is unusual and the main reason people stay. A street address and a mailbox for $45 if you want one.
No power at the spaces, so plan on a battery disconnect or a solar tender. What is allowed and what is not is written out on the rules page instead of buried in a lease.
Where they are
Arvada, 5430 W 56th Ave. Wheat Ridge Van Gordon, 4965 Van Gordon St. Wheat Ridge Tabor, 5040 Tabor St. All three are a few minutes from I-70 and all three are month to month.
Before you park it for the winter
Drain the fresh tank and the water heater and either blow the lines out or pump antifreeze through them. Pull the batteries or disconnect them. Cover the tires, because UV kills sidewalls faster here than cold does. Close the roof vents, bait for mice inside and out, and leave the fridge propped open so it does not grow anything.
If part of what you are storing needs to be locked up instead of parked, a 20 foot container is $200 and a 40 is $330. What fits in each is covered in secure vehicle storage in Denver, and every size is laid out in what size storage you need.
What is open right now is on the availability page. Call 720-266-0400 and tell us what you are parking.
